Default TIL how to trip the security system

I always see that "Security" light flashing when I get in the car, but never knew under what circumstances it would activate. Well, today I learned how!

I took the Z to dinner and parked in a garage. The roof is off. By habit I locked the doors with the power door button when I got out of the car. Observing that I had annexed about a quarter of the handicap spot next to me, I decided that was poor form and went to correct the situation. It seemed rather silly to use the key to unlock the door with the top off, so I reached in and used the power lock.. and yeah, the alarm went off. My first slightly panicked thought was that it would stop by using the key in the ignition.. But no, that doesn't work, and the car won't start. Plan B was to cycle the lock on the door with the key. Thankfully that worked, because I didn't have a 3rd idea

Anyhow, can confirm now that the security system functions.

Also to add, the Security system only will arm if you press the power door lock with a door open..

Yes, Key is the only way to disarm after the doors are closed
