Default Intake gasket sets?

Which do you use the 1/32" or 3/32"?

I prefer Jerry’s thicker 3/64” plenum gaskets.

I suggest you buy a couple of pairs at a time.

I've owned the car for 3 years/5,000 miles and I bought my 4th & 5th pairs wednesday.

I use the thinner Plenum Gaskets 1/32" and I have TB Coolant Blocked at Injector Housing on ALL ZR-1s

Could someone please explain why there are different thickness gaskets available? Does it depend on the year model, that they are a different thickness???

No.

From what I understood, the only advantage of 3/64'' is that they may be re-usable after a plenum removal, compared to 1/32''.

Thanks for clearing that up. When the time comes that l need to order, l now know l don’t need to order a specific thickness gasket set.

Sorry if I am hijacking the thread but on this topic I was wondering if someone of you could till me if the plenum gasket is enough or if an additional sealant is needed? When I had my car at the shop last year the mechanic also put some red sealant in addition to the gasket... I am not sure what that was...

I have Throttle Body Coolant blocked at Injector Housings and do not use anything on 1/32 Plenum Gaskets.

Set Plenum in Place making ALL electrical and vacuum connections and then slide gaskets in place (lift Plenum just enough to slide gaskets in place).

I tighten Plenum SS Allen Head Bolts tight but not too tight and then check them once in a while (less than what book calls for as I have no coolant to TB)
