Hello,
Does anyone have the part number for just the cap that goes on the fuel rail where you test fuel pressure? Thanks, Bill

FYI - I think an -4AN cap will screw on there.
Mine dropped down into the valley a couple of years ago. I think I had a blue anodized cap on there for a while, and later put a fuel pressure sensor there. Last edited by RussMcB; 12-29-2017 at 11:26 PM. |

When I went through that search a few months ago, until a kind soul gave me one, several suggested going to a local HVAC shop - it being an AN fitting.
Good hunting!! |

If you're near an ACD jobber or GM dealer you might try 214-1044 or 25532662. I've never tried this but I don't know why not. With whatever you buy be sure to check inside the cap for the o-ring seal. I think that generic -4AN caps may not have the seal.
If you try the GM I'd be interested if you post back and mention your thoughts. I've always intended to but haven't had the need so I never have. |

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but that seal probably isn't super important. The cap is mainly to keep out water/dust, right? It's not holding fuel pressure in the rail. My hunch is, the AN cap wouldn't let anything in as long as it's on tight enough not to back off due to vibration.

GM did not issue a part number for the metal silver cap used on the LT5. The cap was available in a service kit that included a new valve. The kit is PN 17112219 discontinued by GM.

I have extra caps. Would you rather have metal or plastic?
