Vacuum Pump
With the key in the On position the vacuum pump keeps running. Occasionally it stops for a second and then keeps running. Is it supposed to stop? Does this mean I have a leak?
Thanks, Jim |

Re: Vacuum Pump
Yes. You have a leak within secondary vacuum system most likely under the plenum.

Re: Vacuum Pump
Make sure you don't burn out the pump I would disconnect it till you fix the leak. I seen people asking as much as 400 for the pump

Re: Vacuum Pump
The pump can be found new shipped to your door for less than $130,same pump used in a KODIAC KICK,direct bolt on for 91-95,plug is different for 1990. Anybody know the part number for the new solenoid valve?

I assume you meant "cheaper" than Jerry's part. Otherwise I don't know how ya can get cheaper than eliminating all the secondary port throttles entirely! (is what I meant). Parts that don't exist don't cost much, and the never fail! Jerry sells a new OEM pump and is listed for ~ $176.00 The one on your link sells for $56.xx and says it is "remanufactured". Choices....
