Re: Beam plates
They stiffen up the C beam that surround? the drive shaft. Stiffens up the car so it doesn't twist so bad on hard launches.

Re: Beam plates
Beam plates are small rectangular plates that are attached at each end of the C-beam around our driveshaft. They reinforce the connections between our C-beam and the tranny in front and the differential in the rear. Most of our cars' rears tend to go sideways when we push hard on the go pedal in first or second gear and the beam plates keep us going straight. Better traction and a whole lot safer!☺️

Re: Beam plates
C4 Beam Plates are designed with a greater stiffened contact area (than the use of washers) above and below the C4 Beam and in addition include a captured nut on the top plates for ease of installation. The greater contact area tends to prevent movement of the Differential and Transmission relative to the C4 Beam.

Re: Beam plates
And, worth every penny, especially if you have medium to large hands. Stiffening the C-beam is just gravy, IMO.

Re: Beam plates
Wish I'd known about these 6 months ago. Couldn't work out why the back stepped out on me after some hard acceleration through a bend and put the car off the road and in a ditch. Car still being repaired but almost finished. Where can l obtain these Beam plates? I would like to get, and install them when l get the car back.
