Default 1995 OEM Fuel Injectors

I've been told by a potential buyer that my 55k mile '95 ZR will obviously need its fuel injectors replaced, it's just a matter of time. He said that this is what an experienced ZR-1 mechanic told him

Since this is not what i've heard about the post-'92 injectors, i'm wondering if this concern is real. the ZR has been well cared for, never raced, no indications of running at anything less that 100%

Appreciate any comments!

It is doubtful you'll ever need to replace a '95s injectors, I think.

The 90-92 injectors were not compatible with the ethanol in todays gasoline. The 93-95 injectors are compatible and you should be just fine....I believe Haibeck changed mine out twice. Last time with 93-95 injectors and no problem since.

As said, the 93-95 injectors are not susceptible to alcohol. However, a good replacement for 90-95 injectors is the Accel 150821s from Summit, IF FIC doesn't have any on hand.

When the plenum pull was done in January, I decided to change them out while I was in there. Not something you have or need to do with a 94, unless there is a problem.
As I mentioned back then...
"My injectors were original, and they all tested out between 12.2 and 12.5
They were still good. But I took advantage of a sale through an email on FIC and went with new"

Very happy with the results, just need to wrap up the current plenum pull asap....

90-92 injectors can't take the ethanol in todays fuels. 93-95's will be fine with todays fuel. But bear in mind that todays 10%+ ethanol fuels go bad quickly. If the 93-95 or even FIC injected car isn't used regularly additives should be used to prolong the fuels life. Just my experience

Whatever you buy make sure these are stainless steel sleeved. Both my RC's in my 91 and my FIC's in my 90 are so rust is not an issue. GC

My Accels have been in the motor for 10 years now. No hiccups.
