Re: SRP phenolic Plenum Insulator Kit
Do these plates eliminate the need for gaskets?

Re: SRP phenolic Plenum Insulator Kit
Will let others comment, I would think they would still be needed, but might be incorrect

Re: SRP phenolic Plenum Insulator Kit
No, they do not replace/eliminate gaskets. In fact, two sets of Intake Plenum Gaskets are required when the spacer is used, one on each side. Spacers are reusable. The photo on SRP's website shows the Throttle Body Heat coolant port is open in the plates. Like our gaskets, they may be deliberately made that way so the plates & our gaskets can be rotated/flipped to block the coolant port if desired. If blocked, it appears SRP also includes a coolant bypass line. The principal purpose of the spacers was to act as a thermal barrier to heat soak from the engine. To some minor degree, additional clearance on the underside of the plenum may contribute to cooling due to increased airflow. SRP makes products with outstanding quality. I have long endorsed the SRP longer pressure plate bolts for use with aftermarket, lightweight flywheels in combination with the stock ZR-1 Pressure Plate.

Hey Lee,
How about $75 shipped USPS to my military APO address? Thanks for your consideration.
