Starting Car After Sitting For 10 months?
Is here anything I should do before starting the car. I know for my 72 C3, I pull the power to the coil and crank the engine until I get oil pressure. Not sure how I would do that with my 95?

A thought: Remove all spark plugs so the engine can spin with no load while it builds oil pressure.
Maybe spray some type of light oil in the cylinders. |

That's actually how I de-winterize my big block boat engines... spark plugs out, no load, let them spin 15-20 seconds, then let the starter motor rest five minutes.
Repeat until I see 7-10 psi steady oil pressure. ... only spray a mist of fogging oil into cylinders, to avoid any hydralock damage.

Thanks for the quick reply! Sounds like a good idea!
I did a little more research and think I will pull the injector fuse first to see if spinning it with plugs in place will build any pressure. If not, I will remove the plugs.

In my case also to assure that any residual cylinder fogging won't cause hydralock, months or years later. I hand spray Marvel Oil down the carb when winterizing, but I've seen guys just pour it. The big block eats it up, but for my high-dollar hi-compression build (540 N/A 700hp) I'll take the extra precautions. I'd take a sample of fuel from the rail and the bottom of the tank. Today's ethanol gasoline is hydroscopic, absorbs water in humidity after 90 days.

Pretend you are clearing a flooded engine by planting you foot to the floor on the accelerator pedal - if the ECM is programmed the way I think it is, no fuel is sprayed.
Somebody else jump in here ... I'm too lazy to run out to the garage for the owner's manual.
