Fluid Leaks
So coming back from Caffeine and Corvettes earlier this month and I noticed the rear end speckled with oil. I tried looking under the car but since Clint lowered this puppy good there was no chance of that happening. I debated putting the car on jack stands but was uneasy. Luckily I did a search for a Kwiklift on Craigslist and found one close by for more than half the price brand new and the guy delivered it. Put it together yesterday and slide under the car no problem. Man this is pretty cool! Anyways...so looking under the car you can see the exhaust pipes soaked with oil. I looked up into the differential and see most of the fluid trail coming from the bolt shown. Don't see anything really coming from a seal. I keep moving forward and then on the bottom of the bell housing I see more oil. The passenger side of the oil pan looks more saturated with oil than the drivers side and I took a couple of pics of where it looks like its coming from. From reading other posts should I just attempt to tighten the bolts that look wet? For full disclosure I'm by no means a mechanic so I probably fall under the category of a waxer but I invested into my dream car so I need to make an effort to address issues on my own. So I apologize in advance if I ask some stupid follow up questions to dummy it down for myself. I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me as how to attack fixing my fluid leaks. Thank you!

Re: Fluid Leaks
Oil pan bolts are famous for leaking. As noted above. tighten up all the pan bolts you can reach. The toughest to get at are the ones on the front of the oil pan. They all do often leak although I know Marc Haibeck's experience is that tightening them usually solves the problem for a long time. --Bob

Re: Fluid Leaks
Ok I started with cleaning the differential. Question...is the bolt supposed to be partial unthreaded when completely tight? I tried to tighten it with no movement but could loosen it fine and got a whiff of the lovely smelling diff oil.
