2015 ZR-1 Road Trip to pick up my new (to me) 1995 Purple ZR-1

On Friday morning, Lyndi and I will depart Westminster, MD for our April 2015 ZR-1 Road Trip. This trip will be a little different than our previous trips because we will be flying from Baltimore to Las Vegas and driving a rental car to St George, UT to pick up my new ZR-1.

I spent the Winter searching for another ZR-1 to add to my garage. I decided that I wanted to get a 1995, all stock, low miles ZR-1 to use as our road trip car. There were several excellent candidates to choose from and I settled on a 1995 Dark Purple ZR-1 that was for sale in St George, UT.

The PurpleZ is in excellent condition with just over 4.000 miles on it. Here is a picture from the sellers ad:



We will pick the car up on Saturday morning and go to a tire store to replace the 20-year old original tires and then get an oil change and quick check of all the fluids. Then we will head back to Las Vegas to start a two week Road Trip back to Maryland.

Hi Ted, "C" is San Pedro. We will stay in Santa Monica on the 6th and be in San Pedro on the 7th. Are you near there?

On Wednesday the 8th we drive to Joshua Tree National Park and on to Phoenix.

The Mojave Mile would have been neat to add to our plans, but we will be half way across TX by the 12th.

This trip was squeezed in between some other commitments, and was planned fairly quickly.

Congratulations Jim, and as a general rule I try to never speak bad about others but if I may say the owner of this purple ZR-1 you are buying is a serious jerk. I contacted him once and I was ready and willing to give him his asking price in cash but his abrasive and curt behavior was a big turn off so I walked away from him and his purple ZR-1, but again congrats and have a safe and enjoyable trip.
