Finally got around to installing an oil separator - enough oil in the plenum, already!

Moro$o makes a quality oil separator, and yesterday I got around to tucking one in the left headlight well.





I was able to find ONE acceptable tubing clamp to secure the AN line close to the PCV valves; on the lookout for some clamps to replace the temporary tie wraps.

Anyway, I'll be interested to see how it works. Anybody notice a reduction of oil in the plenum as result of using an oil separator??

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread but I notice you are using SS bolts for the plenum and the cam covers but using the factory black phosphate torx for the coolant cover. You may have run into same issue as I had with SS M4 coolant cover bolts not biting sufficiently to be able to torque down. My solution was replacing coolant cover bolts with titanium allen heads off the ebay. Those fit perfect and matches the SS bolts better. Added benefit, if coolant to the throttle body has not been defeated, is minimizing galvanic corrosion issue with the top of the throttle body.

I use 6 AN SS Hose and on the Top End connecting to the Plenum I use a 5/16 short Rubber hose connected to a 6 AN Straight Hose End (eliminates the rough cut SS Hose and Hose Clamp). The 6 AN Straight Hose End 1/8 inch NPT thread screws into the 5/16 inch rubber hose perfectly.

The two hose fittings are (Hose End, Swivel, 90 Degree, 6 AN Hose to Male 1/4 in. NPT, Aluminum, Nickel) and the 1/4 NPT is screwed into the Oil Catch Can 1/4 inch NPT threaded holes Swivel, 90 Degree, 6 AN Hose to Male 1/4 in. NPT

On the other end of the SS Braided hose install 6 AN Straight Hose End which fits into a 5/16 short rubber hose connected to the Plenum PCV fitting.
