Default Seat recover

So my seats are out to be fixed.
My guy is steering me towards katzkins covers. My leather is still in pretty good shape, but the vinyl is getting rough.
Thoughts? Experience?
TIA. Steve

Anything that touches your body is leather, the side pieces are vinyl.
Don't have a price yet on the Katzkins, or OEM for that matter.

Steve,

The seat cover I took off my seats were all leather. No vinyl but I'll re-check.
Care to say what kind of numbers you're looking at?

I took mine to an apolstry shop recommended by the chevy dealer. They just replaced the pieces (All leather) that needed replacing and they matched the color almost perfect! Not real cheap, about $400. My 90 seats are all leather.

So, it looks like new covers by some guy in Texas. Black with red stitching and Corvette script in red. New foam. About a grand.

I remember seeing a post with pics on the Grand Sport Registry forum....They had a deal with Al Knoch for leather seat covers, like a Registry discount. The pics I remember seeing was a set of red leather with a perforated center section. Looked top notch! Maybe we could get some sort of relationship going with our Registry?

Jim, We went a step further. We are hoping to get Dom prototype seat covers back in the next couple of weeks. The Cost is going to be anywhere from $550.00 leather and the ZR-1 Splash embroidered in the headrest.
to $2500.00 for a complete interior with Napa Leather, Nuva Suede and Alcantara.
And I do mean complete. Everything that is currently plastic in your car is covered in leather except for the A-pillar and front header. We Are hoping to have photos in the next couple of weeks as the prototype production has started.

The seats in Jerry Downey's ZR-1 have some nice embroidery work on the headrests. Wonder how much something like that would cost?
