Best Short Throw shifter?
Hi, my new to me car does not have a short throw shifter. What was the nicest one made & is it still available? Or, what's the best one available now? Thanks Brothers! Tim

Re: Best Short Throw shifter?
I had Wazoo put in a Hurst which you can get off the internet for about $150 or so. Bill Boudreau also has an excellent short shifter and you can find it at billb@zfdoc.com or call Bill Boudreau at (602) 319-6575 .
Two great choices in MHO.

Ditto,I also like Bill's shifter.
The others are a bit clunky. Pete

Re: Best Short Throw shifter?
I tried bradley's shifter once and I have a Hurst. The Hurst is direct, but I liked brad's Boudreau shifter better.
That said, with my blueprinted 2nd and 3rd gear sychros on Bill's rebuild plus the hurst, I have had reactions of sheer amazement from other people who I have let try it out. They can hardly believe a short shifter actually can work on a ZF without being all stiff and hard to get into the lower gears. |
