Default Full power light

Has anyone experienced the full power switch malfunctioning even though the full power light is on. If so how did you resolve it.

Not enough info. How is it you think the switch is malfunctioning?
What symptom(s). What year?

Sorry, I mis-read the thread. I was just responding to the above question.

5500 under load, i.e. driving. Rev limiter at 7250 rpm, and the engine should blast right to 7250.

I had a similar problem.... stuck in a traffic jam for over an hour and a half in 108 degree head... power key was on, but no secondaries. I replaced the fuel pumps before I realized that the main vacuum line from the pump had collapsed into itself and sealed. Pull the line from the connector by the passenger water housing and check to ensure the pump runs.
