Default Someone already created a new rear end for the C7

Hello Skyline Taillights. They car was designed off of the 599. If you were a company making a aftermarket piece wouldn't you copy the Ferrari Taillights?

The new C7 certainley has styling cues taken from the Ferrari 599 but I believe its style is more of a form following function rather than directly going after another manufactures look. Not that the tail lights that were photo shopped look misplaced but I kinda have taken a liking to the new rear lights. I just think the new C7 is going to be fantastic with a look all its own. I stll believe it has captured enough of previous Corvettes to make it undeniably a Corvette. Certainley the new interior is a vast improvement over the C5 & C6. I appreciate you posting the pic. I just cannot wait to see a C7 in person. Each time I see it from a different angle I like it more & more.

The 599 is one of my favorite new cars, I do like the C7 in her current configuration rear lights and all.

I frequent the CF C7 Section. It's hilarious, the infighting there is over the Camaro tail Light treatment. Good entertainment. LOL

The C7 rear fascia is growing on me, too.

Especially when I found that part of the "black" color outboard of the tail lamps which, in early spy shots and P'shop renderings, was thought to be flat black paint, is actually the exhaust vents for the transaxle cooling air flow.

It goes in the two inlets just aft of the rear quarter windows, flows around the transaxle then out those two vents. Like the front end cooling exhaust vents on the hood, that's good use of aero.

I have to agree with both points. The rear end makes a statement that I am getting use to AND it is those functioning vents that tilt the scales for me.
Nothing worse than vents with no function. That's function following form.

Me too. As much as I have always loved C4, especially ZR-1s, I think C7 design is up to date and very well done.
I figure 2 years for the GM to iron out minor kinks and another year for a high performance version (perhaps Z06). Better start saving...

Yun, I think the Higher HP version wont be out until the 2016 model year.
