A bad omen or what, needs some advice guys.
A few months ago when I got my policy renewal from Hagerty I noticed the policy went up about $100.I start shopping and decided on Grundy.About 6 weeks ago I inquired about a policy, liked what I heard so I requested the info packet. After 3 phone calls and 3 weeks I finely get the info, even though I made it clear that I need this policy in effect by 1-1-13.I send in the info, payment.I called today to find out the status and Im told I needed to return more info,I returned all the info that was provided. What Im getting at here is if these morons cant even start a simple policy what kind of circus am I to expect should I need to file a claim.Should I just tell Grundy to forget it and stay with Hagerty?I was told today that the policy -should- be in effect by tomorrow,my policy with Hagerty expires on 12-31.Almost 7 weeks to but this together? What say the Brotherhood.

The ratings of each would appear to indicate that Grundy is better, but ??? I have no experience with either.
**************************** Hagerty Insurance Agency Disclosures - Auto Our Underwriters: Your policy may be underwritten by one of the following insurance companies, which all carry an A.M. Best rating of A (excellent) or better. OneBeacon Insurance Group Companies
What is the importance of a financially strong insurance company? Insurance Companies are rated on their financial strength and claims paying ability in the event of a catastrophe. Best's Guide rates carriers between A++ and B-. Whenever possible, you should consider this rating before purchasing coverage. Grundy uses A++, A+ and A rated carriers for all of our insurance programs.

You may want to compare with J.C. Taylor Insurance as well if NCM doesn't work out. They do antique and collectible insurance as well as hot rods, customs and modifieds.
Check out their website or call them at 800-345-8290.

I looked at Hagerty, NCM, Farmer's, AAA, and ended up with Classic Collections as the best fit for my situation. Very happy w/ them so far.

I would like nothing more than to support the NCM the only problem is the insurance carrier for the museum is A.M.I.G.Years ago I had Leland-West insurance on one of my cars,a 1964 Nova that got hit by a public bus,not my fault.A.M.I.G did everything possible to keep from paying on the claim, every excuse you could imagine.Only after I threatened to file a complaint with the State did they settle the claim,no A.M.I.G for me.

I went with Collector Car Insurance, Leo, IN. Give Sandy Charvant a call, she's real nice and she'll answer all your questions. Prices were cheaper than most. Was covered in just a couple days too. Also has flexible payments. Sandy has been doing collector car insurance almost 20 yrs now.
