Here's an article on the Z06 pump and the power increase they got. Thought it was interesting given how some on the registry are experimenting w this on our motors.

So it looks like they got a net of 7chp after any parasitic losses from driving the pump. I didn't catch what the cost of this was. They're driving off the motor. So does that mean an electric pump won't do the trick? |

so does the mechanical pump vary in the amount of vacuum pulled in the above application? If no, then I don't see why a electric pump would not work
if yes, then the Electric pump would need to vary speed long with RPM of motor

I've heard of this 20 years ago for circle track racing. I think the bigger benefit would be a little less blow-by and the extra hp would just be a bonus.
Interesting the LS-454 in the write up lost a little torque in the midrange- wasn't expecting that. |
