Default Mystery Solved...

Well I'm proceeding with my top end teardown and I removed the injector housings today. Turns out this car had the passenger head replaced with a later model head. I always wondered why the cam cover emblem was different on the passenger side. So much for NCRS ....high performance mods here I come!!

Wish I could but not pulling the heads. May do that on a future motor build.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. The only part that's ever gone out on my secondaries was the vacume solenoid. So unless its causing you problems just leave it alone till you have some real engine work done.

I thought the cause of your engine failure was that something got dropped into the intake or something like that.

Nope was a secondary butterfly failure where the rod cracked off and seperated from the flapper and went into the pistons.

Heres that write up I will add those pics back later tonight

Must have been all that spirted driving.... Reguardless that will never happen to me again. I encourage all to do so if they have to pop the cam covers/heads off
