Re: An LT-5 + (10000rpm+4 cylinders) = shrieking
could it be one of Mikey's old cars?
Is it time yet for F1 to start....that is some sweet sound. I hate to say this, but I would like an exhaust system that would make my ZR-1 sound like that.

Those cars do have an incredible sound! I'd love to get in one of those and go screaming down the freeway!
Yeah, it would be kinda cool if our Z's sounded like that. Though the LT5 already has a unique sound compared with other V8's. Can't wait till I can hear mine wound up to 7K and start crankin' out the perma-grins! , , , ...

I guess I'm the odd man out! those things sound like slot cars to me. They hurt my ears. I much prefer the throaty sound of an American V8. Thankfully my LT5 doesn't sound anything like that.
To each his own, It's what makes the world go round!

Re: An LT-5 + (10000rpm+4 cylinders) = shrieking
The first time I listened to an F1 motor I thought it sounded like an angry bee. The first F1 race I remember watching on TV the start sounded like a swarm of angry bees.....my wife used to ask " are we watching the whinny cars today?"
No odd man out Bill! Just different strokes for different folks!

My wife won us a trip to the British Grand Prix several years ago and I have to tell you they're even more piercing live! Our seats were right at the start of the main straight and when they accelerated out of the corner you could physically feel it - amazing!
