Default Corsa With Headers - No Cats

Okay guys, sorry for yet another exhaust question thread.

I know Corsa is somewhere at the top of the aftermarket list for no resonance and I know it will be louder with headers than without.

Will a car running Corsa with headers and no cats still enjoy drone-free highway cruising or does lack of cats turn on the resonance?

I ask the question because I just read a listserve email that advised Corsa representatives state the system was specifically designed for use with cats.

Appreciate any feedback.

My 90 has Corsa with headers and no cats, it is much quieter than the borla setup on my 92, and the 90 with Corsa has 2" headers.

I'm thinking that Corsa in saying that they used only cat equipped cars for their design of their patented "RSC" technology for each application. Depending on the cat's construction I can see where there could be some issues and not get the resonance eliminated with the removal of the cats, but from LGAFF's post and other's it looks like our application is good to go with cat removal. I want some 2'' headers!!!!

Scott,

I have SW headers, no cats and corsa...

There is some resonance, but not much.

Good choice!

I've driven a corsa/no cats/headers car before and while there was no resonance in the car, I couldn't stand the sound behind it. We were driving down to BG together so I got to hear it from behind, I'm not a fan

Thanks Ricky and Daryll - more of what I hoped to hear.

Right now I'm kind of with Kevin to be honest. I haven't been a Corsa fan with regards to it's sound from the rear but the car I bought has a brand new Corsa system installed.
I know several have yanked the B&B (and other systems) and moved to Corsa, so I'm at least going to give it a chance.

I had the B&B on my last car and loved it's sound outside the car but with the resonator the drone was quite annoying.
After installing headers and replacing the resonator with an X-pipe it was greatly improved but there was still drone.

So, if the Corsa is relatively drone-free it may be a welcome trade-off. And I know some believe it to be the better system from a performace perspective.
My concern was the possibility a decision to go headers sans cats would actually create a drone issue with the system.

I'm hoping I like it!
