Need to refinish console and need help on locating power key lettering for a 93 console. After i remove all the old rubber finish, the letters will be remved also. How do I replicate them?

Re: center console help
Refinishing a consol is very hard to do.... "SecondChance" is trying to do that, but you might be better off finding a used one?
Are you looking for the radio bezel only or the center consol with the shifter? Nobody is doing lettering for the power key.... I'll ask around, but I would recommend getting a used bezel or new one? David |

Another problem is a possibility of lettering drying out and flaking off. I am attempting to fill gouges on rubbery finish and using an airbrush to mimic satin black finish. If successful, I will airbrush the entire surface except for the area with lettering. |

Re: center console help
Is there a difference between 92 and 93?

Re: center console help
What are they worth? I have one in excellent condition and I might even have two.

Re: center console help
On my 90 the ash tray door and even the shifter console surface as well as the radio bezel were quite dog eared. My car's original owner wore his college ring so I had scratches on all those surfaces.
I bought some of that spray paint from Zip or MidAmerica or Corvette Central or one of those guys that is textured to be a match for the original. Be warned that it was my experience that it's not exact. It's close but not a match. I used scotch tape to mask off the lettering and then shot all the parts at the same time with the same strokes. It looks fine unless you really stare at it in the right light. The texture isn't quite a match either, but then my stuff looks way better than it did with all the marring. Tom
