WMD - 2 May Brake upgrade
On Sunday, 2 May, we will have a Westminster Maintenance Day (WMD) at my garage in Westminster, MD.
Glenn will be upgrading his ZR-1 brakes to C6 brakes. If you have ever wondered about changing your brakes, come and see how it works out. Everyone is invited to come and hang out and/or work on your car. If you need directions, call me: 443-244-1347. Jim

Yes. Same adapters, and the rotors are the same as well. That's my understanding.

Re: WMD - 2 May Brake upgrade
We will be putting stock C6 calipers on Glenn's 1990 ZR-1. Glenn is a hard-core racer and has been heat soaking his stock ZR-1 brakes for 20 years. He recently decided to upgrade for this racing season. I will try to get some pictures of the install.
There is a C6Z06 brake conversion on a 1995 ZR-1 in progress near here. I will let the owner of that car discuss it when its done. The 1995 car will be at Bowling Green. Jim |

Re: WMD - 2 May Brake upgrade
FYI, C5 Z06 brakes are basically the same as C6 brakes. The design of the caliper is slightly different and the C6 caliper has more pleasant "CORVETTE" lettering, but that and the color difference is about it.
C6 Z06/GS brakes and C6 ZR1 brakes are a different story (and C6 Z51 brakes are a slightly different story)
