'92 Marc Randolph chips FS
I have 2 chips for a 1992 for sale, burned by Marc Randolph. I bought these with a lot of other ZR-1 parts, and I won't be needing these since I have a 1991.
As explained by the seller, to me: Concerning the chips, both chips were reprogrammed for a lightly modified '92 Z (headers, exhaust, P&P intake & injector housing). The programming was done by Marc Randolph here in Dallas. He acquired all the fuel tables from GM somehow and, unlike the DRM chips which only improve performance at WOT, Marc recalibrated the air/fuel mapping on these chips at every rpm range from idle to redline. The standard chip stuff was done as well- power key "on" default, skip shift, etc. The other chip was programmed like the first, the only difference is the fuel mapping-to keep it "fat" for the nitrous. This chip also has the rev limiter disabled. Upon speaking with Marc Randolph, he explained to me that the Nitrous chip probably had slightly richer fuel calibration, and a slightly more conservative spark curve, closer to "stock" compared to the usual spark advance and fuel leaning that most tuners go for. So, I figure I'll offer these up at $150 each, or $250 for both. Free shipping in CONUS. Last edited by VetteMed; 05-01-2010 at 10:35 AM. |
