I recently acquired a '91 ZR-1 (#1495 turquoise/black) and am doing research on prior ownership.

AutoCheck indicates a prior owner located in Matthews, NC (Oct 1998-June 2004). DMVs restrict info that they will release and to whom.

Anyone familiar with this vehicle/owner ?

You should be able to do a vehicle title search for the owners name on the grounds of safety and emissions compliance. I have a title search in process at the state of michigan for my cars first owner for those very reasons.
