Re: TT LT5 Chevelle
Okay, personally I dont understand why people use LT5's in other cars!! It just boggles my mind why somebody would want the hard to find parts headache of an LT5 without actually being a ZR-1. I mean I put up with it because of how much I love the damn ZR-1 and the history and all that crap but If I had no attatchment in that sense it is NOT a motor I would want to deal with in another car! AND the fact that they are expensive as all hell. I would buy an LS6 and save myself time, money and gray hairs.

Re: TT LT5 Chevelle
People like that do it because they can. The oddball factor appeals to a lot of people
Definitely different.

Re: TT LT5 Chevelle
Because they can,... what a brilliant and exhaustive explanation.
Don’t get me wrong, I think its badd @ss, and I applaud their creativity and mechanical ability. If money, time, energy wasn’t a factor I would do the same... Just realistically putting myself in that position, The LT-5 would not be a choice for me... Now what I would do with a used LT-5 is find whatever parts or frame or whatever I can of the original car and PERFECTLY restore it to factory specs, In my opinion, bringing a king back from the dead is a much more noble expenditure of the valuable and limited resources available for these engines.

I think it is way too cool Frank! How does one polish stainless to look like that?
