Default WTB: Considering 368, looking for a kit

Okay, after going through this build last night I had a dream about going to a 368 already. I will double check Lee's post for the same information, but I believe no response.

Besides Lingenfelter does anyone know sources to get everything to build the 368?

If not, what are the exact items needed for the build. Con Rod SBC 5.850" (according to Lingenfelter's site), LA sleeves 4.00" bore and pistons don't know the specs.

Another thing I will need is to rent a torque/deck plate for the LT5 if anyone knows who has one that is willing to do this. It is an astronomical cost to ship my block to the upper 48 just to get the liners bored/honed and I think more feasible to rent the plate for a local machine shop to do.

I am going to contact some of the builders to see what they can do. I tried to search for information on this Registry but the search does not work well for "368". The other forum has some information, but old.

I guess I will try Jeff who mentioned something about having them and SGC, Corey Henderson, Mike Ebert, not sure who else. I was quoted by one builder for $3500 that includes 8 custom ductile iron liners, J & E forged pistons with 4 valve reliefs, pins and file fit rings and Eagle "H" beam connecting rods.

Thanks!!!

Thanks. I have not had much luck with them; I have been trying to order parts for over a year now from their LT-5parts.com with no success.

Really? I just called Rippie and ordered them. Usually you need to talk to Doug regarding the LT5 parts

Glad it worked out for you. I started calling last winter and storage door was frozen so no sale. Called again in spring told did not get a chance to get the parts. Left credit card info and placed an order and still no parts. Contacted again later in summer, no return call. Tried to order online last month and still no parts so I gave up. Thanks for your input, I don't have time for businesses like that. I am sure they are good as many use them, it just did not work out for me is all.
