I just switched to the Amsoil AMO 10w-40 per Marc Haibeck's advice. Found it locally for no more than any online price I came across, less shipping costs.

Mobil one turbo deasel 10-40 4qts mobil one ext. 10-30 4 qt i can restorer. for the zinc it adds. 144k and hardley eats a drop?

I've been using Mobil 1 but switching to Amsoil as per Marc's write up.

I'm now using 10W40 Mobil 1 High Mileage because its as near as we'll get to the original M1.

And 5qts jugs are still $21 at Walmart.
