All the test data can be found on Amsoils web site. www.amsoil.com. I personally called Amsoil and talked with an engineer on staff there who went over the data with me aand assured me the zinc content has not changed in recent times. All the comparison tests are on their site. Outperforms in every category. We owners don't use it mostly due to cost and availability; it is expensive but it is easy to set up a preferred customer account and get 20-30% discounts off of the retail price their products. Supply is housed in warehouses around the country. I ordered a case of quarts online and got it in two days delivered to my door. Corey Henderson introduced me to it.

Amsoil IS good stuff. I was a distributor for it back in 1975 when I owned a machine shop. It was just too expensive & new for anyone to try back then. You're right about "why we owners don't use it." Also, I think a lot of us are reluctant to deviate from what's worked so well and been recommended by the General & endorsed by so many users.

I'm running m1 and getting ready to change to either extended milage m1,or royal purple, or redline or amsoil, still in debate. I'm hearing around 2004 oil grades that went to sm have a lot of the good stuff taken out cause of epa. Some turbo's in racing applications are suposedly locking up and other problems with m1 extended performance sm rated oil. M1 Extended milage is still sl rated,(and only walmart carries it in my area, the auto stores around me don't have it) along with royal purple, and Last store I was at it was hard to find oils that don't have the sm. Some of the racing oils and diesel are still the good ol sl rating. Only what I'm hearing from the internet though.

Hi there,
I live in Munich, Germany. I use Castrol RS 10W-60. So far I do not have any problems. I use it in my BMW and my Jag also. Oli |

200 miles on 10w30 redline oil. The chain tensioner rattle on cold start up is pretty much gone. Have heard a little rattle with warm start up after setting about 3 hours for the first time today. Going to do a oil analysis soon on how the oil is holding up.
