It's nice to have a garage queen Vette, as is our 80 white / red 4-speed with only 23,000. But it is so much better to drive one, especially the ZR-1. It is truly a road machine and loves to stretch its legs!
![]() I have owned the 93 LSV385 Green Thing since our purchase from Frank U in Oct 2011. Then at 32,200 miles, Frank had taken great care of it, and I know he had a lot of fun doing it. ![]() After a ZF Doc tranny and Hurst short-throw rebuild it now shifts like silk. If you ever think of doing a tranny job, check with Bill, he is the wizard and not that expensive ... free plug time. Special thanks to Dennis Scott for pulling and installing..a great guy to know as I am sure most of you guys know that already. ![]() After BG Gathering, the GT has a little over 35K and it will be going up with a July trip to Jersey to see friends and Rels (To/from SC about 1,300) and then to Carlisle in Aug another 1,500 or so. As Phil DeJohn and Frank said, drive like you like it and I have no problem with that. ![]() That means I will hit 40K by the end of summer! I put 80,000 on the 91 Steel Blue (#1430) in the seven years I had it. I didn't want to get out of it and took it every where, rain or shine. I believe it is still with Fred Mains. There always will be collectibles, but for me, the real joy of owning this beast, is the driving. My wife Ann and I just can't get enough. ![]()
