"...the dyno sheets will not have the VIN, but rather the Mercury SN..."

Where is the Mercury SN located?
Thanks!

After what Ford went through with the under powered/ over estimated cobra mustang rating, I'm sure GM legal wants to keep those dyno sheets under wraps.

how low did some engines test and how many more miles would one need to get the compression fully seated?

If the car was broke in with regular oil rings seated quickly.....Mobile 1 was so good it took about 15K on some motors..thats why some get faster as the motor puts the miles on......

Better question.....anyone know of a slow ZR-1?

The GM that built those cars, and the associated legal liability, officially died on December 15, 2011.

Excellent point, not to mention statute of limitations should apply as well.

On the driver side, engine block at the pan rail.

I spoke to Jim very very nice guy, he talked with the head of Corvette Product planning......no one seems to know the "why"...Jim also mentioned that he has alot of drawings and things at the Museum that he is not allowed to share.

I will keep chipping away....I had sent a note to Bob Lutz also....

Lee,
I talked to the Corvette product planning manager about the dyno sheets. They will not release them. Sorry.
