Thanks Paul very happy with the result. I am thinking 4 more pieces then done.

Perhaps the door bezels, the other window button on the passenger side and the shifter insert.

GC,

If it's easy, how about a shot of the dash from above without the dash cover.

While you're at it, add in a babe and add it to our Babe of the Year selections.

The change must look awesome with the interior LEDs

Heck no then youd see all my wires lol and SAND!!!! I bought this dashmat used off of CF years ago from somebody in Florida. Till this day fine sand gets everywhere. Almost like sugar

Sweet

. Looks like the CF came with the car from the factory. Wonder how it would look on a different colored interior. Probably would really "pop" w/ a red interior.

This is going to seem silly but you've recently done it. When you take the trim pieces off as I did the air vent trim to the right of the top above the hvac display yesterday I discovered black screws with heads that accepted nothing I had, star fastener, rectangular fastener, regular phillips head, not slot but four cross slots as though it were a phillips. I struggled until in one of my "Multi" head boxes I found the right size small pointed phillips head that went in far enough to back it out. I guess I could file that point down to a flat and then I think it would fit the screws which I think were factory original black quite well. however, is there a specific tool I'm missing and what is it called?

I replaced the one screw that was there and then put the second one in which was MIA and the reason I took it out to see what was happening but put small, black regular phillips heads in to make this easier in the future.

Any wisdom is appreciated. The nut driver heads in places are easy but this was a puzzle, is a puzzle.

When I installed my MP3 input I noticed some screws on vents and under trim were not factory. Also had some rusted and stripped screws else where in the interior. I bought this kit from Eckler's http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corve...1984-1993.html.
Has pretty much every interior screw you would ever need.If I remember correctly most were Philips head screws (might have a been a few Torx)

Joe, Thanks. I saved the link and know now where to go for that. In the meantime I went on ebay and found a box of phillips head black coated #8 in 5/8" and 3/4" of 100 and 200 pieces each which look like they will do well in the interior.

Lance unless your the original owner the screws can be from anywhere. I noticed a couple that used a fat shallow Phillips as well. GC
