Source for Bilstein shocks?
If funds allow, I'd like to replace mine with new.
Is this a good source? http://www.eshocks.com/bil_Ind.asp?VC=7Q34&SubChar=Q Or what do you recommend? Thanks, Gary

Re: Source for Bilstein shocks?
That's right in the ballpark. I just paid $208 ea for mine from Allshocks.com.

AJUSA.com. I just bought a set Friday. The were less than $190 each. Less than the cost to rebuild them. George.

Re: Source for Bilstein shocks?
If you get free shipping (like I did) $190 is a very good deal.

Re: Source for Bilstein shocks?
Thanks Guys.
This is a good deal right now http://www.ajusa.com/Bilstein-Monotu...v7c1q6c61.html Do the shocks come with new grommets, or do I need to purchase these somewhere?

Re: Source for Bilstein shocks?
The photo below is of the shocks I just pick up on Friday placed adjacent to a set of ’89 test shocks.
I spoke with Juan at Bilstein. They no longer have the bushings at the top of the rod. He did not know if they could be had from another company. I also understood that Bilstein makes their parts in batches. In my case the shocks I had taken down to be rebuilt had bad shafts. They had either the front or the rear shafts but not the other. And they were not scheduled to have those shafts until into next year. But they did have the complete shocks. So new shocks and so the stories of it taking a few months to get the shocks rebuilt. The folks at Bilstein were very helpful looking up part numbers and suggesting AJ USA as a retailer. As was lady at AJ USA that sold me the shocks. As an aside, two of the shocks on my ’69 were leaking. They had them fixed under warrantee and back to the house in a few days. I had bought the shocks about 30 years ago, but had keep my receipt.
