Default A/O Engineering ram air

The 94 I'm buying has this set-up. Since Texas requires a front plate, that might present a problem. If my local LE decides to make it one,how much trouble would it be to put the front plate mounting bracket back on the car? I never ran a front plate on my last two ZR-1's but our city didn't have the proliferation of motorcycle cops back then that they do,now. Those fellas don't need much of an excuse to stop you and they never give out warnings.
Any input is appreciated.

You would only need to remove the outer painted aspect/deflector/bezel of the system and secure or remove the flexible duct to accomplish it. If it was installed with just the single large diameter access hole that's all! If there were other modifications done to the fascia in that area once it's removed then the "game changes" - that is very unlikely!

You should find nothing that would restrict the install of a front tag or for that matter if you preferred later the "CORVETTE" fascia cover that is typically used in a "single tag" jurisdiction.

If you're interested in keeping your system as is and adding a bracket below I can did up the information to send you for the bracket I have. It is very nice, lightweight aluminum and requires just to hidden holes on the underside of your bumper. The bracket allows you to mount any angle and height you want to adjust it to. I did not want to remove the ZR-1 insert so I bought this bracket.

Okay Clint, I'll go to the garage now and try to take a better photo and dig up the box and post all the info. I have to do work on the car today anyway and long overdue despite cold and snow starting to fall. Thanks for the comment.

Okay Clint, here is the link to Skene Designs:

I bought the Extra long bracket. Since pictures mean more than a thousand words, here you go:

Best wishes,

It was better to do it before I got started working on the car so no problem. Initially I bought it to mount the Japan license plate which is much larger than US, but never got the car registered and for temp plates they allow it on the dashboard so I figured to show off the Hawaiian license plate. Take care!

Just to update this: I ordered one of Skene Design's license plate mounts for our 94 Z. Made of billet aluminum and utilizing stainless fasteners, this looks like the best alternative I found that will still allow me to retain the A/O Engineering forced air.

Craig, thanks for your help in posting that link and pics of your car w/mount.
