Re: TT LT-5
At 1st glace I thought it was a 3rd GEN mid/late80's F-bird.
Notice how the writer states that the "A custom CAM measures in with 0.475"/0.475" of single pattern lift with a split duration of 282/285". I got a little chuckle out of that. Nice car. peace Hog Last edited by Hog; 06-16-2013 at 11:48 AM. |

Re: TT LT-5
about 6 years ago I talked to Chuck Mallet about building another TT ZR-1 along with Reeves Callaway as they were both in carlisle
chuck was willing to do it but it was well north of 100k, reeves wanted even more no doubt that they BOTH do quality work, but it wasn't feasible for me even if I pimped out the whole family and sold both kidneys the iconnel manifolds were over 10k to start, and the price of the parts went up from there. now MANY years later, the price of the technology has come down a bit, and LT5s aren't so expensive to buy. when I talked with Aaron, the biggest challenge he faced was just the lack of room, which makes the Raptor STS style solution much easier. I'm more of a fan of front mount turbos, and clearly the "plumbing" is a huge challenge but as we've all seen, it can be done. stock cams, 9-1 compression, use the AES closed deck liners or better still the LPE 'stretched above the deck liner" going into receiver grooves in the head approach and you isolate the weak link which is the head gasket I have NO idea how much that mod costs, but I do know from aaron that it's very trickey to do right and you don't want to screw up a bunch of LT5 heads "trying" to do it right. now if I can just sell that house in alexandria, VA anyone moving???
