I really liked that big post. And the next post, it is all about emotion. That's why I love Corvettes as well. There's just something about Corvettes that I can't get from any other car - even Porsches, etc.
Hell, I wish I had the money to have both a new ZR1 AND an F430! |

Interesting, thanks for sharing it. I see a few people used the power/liter argument, but thankfully there were several to correct them. No one has to clearcut rainforest, or stripmine pastures, to find displacement. There is no limited supply of it. What really matters is the size and weight of the powerplant, and the fuel efficiency. Those are things that affect real resources. In that respect, the smallblock Chevy takes no prisoners.

That was a very entertaining & thoughtfull read...thanks LGAFF!
I gotta say that I expected more "looking down on the vette" from people that own the real high priced/ high-end rolling stock....but to my surprise most of those guys didn't forget where they came from before owning the high end stuff.

I agree, most are level headed about the whole Vette vs supercar issue, I am a big fan of all cars, and like to check out that site every now and again. Great photos of engine pulls on that site and lambo talk. I can't imagine having to pull the entire engine for basic maintenance work. Thank god they didn't use belt drive cams on our cars.

I say we all log in and "bring the trailer park to the concert hall" .
![]() Im biased, what can I say? ![]() Seriously its not a bad discussion over there and very little bashing which you see on just about every board. If I could have a Vintage Fcar I probably would. (circa 1960-ish). Dont forget a 79 Aston Martin vantage Last edited by cuisinartvette; 03-30-2008 at 09:56 PM. |

I'm biased also and poor too. The Fcars definintly get the blood flowing when they cruise by. But I'll thump them if I can!
