Does anyone have a source for a knockoff fiberglass, or CF, hood shown here on the active suspension prototype. I?m assuming any GM versions are unobtainable. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |

There seem to a few vendors who sell similar hoods, like Corvette Central and others. I presumed you have Googled a few, and I certainly don't know about quality or materials used. Or are you looking for a real GM hood for the active suspension car? --Bob

A real one would be the ?holy grail?.
But note, the only ones I?ve ever seen have the scoop lifted at the back 2?, maybe 3?. Too much of a Hot Rod look for me. This hood surprisingly looks like a stocker at rear, but has a bulge for the LT5 up front where you need it. I used those phenolic plenum spacers back in the 90?s, and they (1/4?)caused the hood to rub on the accordion duct. Not good. Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry |
