Hey guys, CRS has hit me and I need some help. Somewhere on the forum someone posted the part number for the antenna mast assy and the grommet. I think is was from Mid America but not sure. My problem is I still hear the motor but antenna not moving. Should I just replace whole assy? Wanted to get grommet just in case. Thanks guys. Btw, 1990.

Doing mine right now. Got the antenna mast from TheAntennaSource.com although I got from their eBay ad. $30. Nice people been in business a long time. I was on the phone with them for tech help just today. The antenna mast is easily removed from the top without removing the whole assembly. Just grab it as someone else turns the radio on and pull it out, cable and all. As long as the cable you remove is the same length as the replacement (nothing broke off inside) the new one is fed in when someone turns the radio off. If broken you do have to go in and fish out the pieces. Problem I ran into was that the base of the replacement was larger than the original. It would not go in. With their help over the phone we figured out that I had a replacement assembly from a 91 or later. Go figure. They are exchanging the mast for me.
Btw if you do order, order from eBay or call in the order, their website is under construction and not working well. Good luck, H ![]() |

Hey Mike! Let me get my transmission back from Bill Boudreaux and installed and then bring your '90 over and we can get it done on the lift. I did one in my '93 LT-1 years ago. Not too bad..

Hey thanks Steve, I'll take you up on that. I was going to have my mechanics do it but nervous about that as they know nothing about these things. I still have to find the parts. When I turn key on I still hear motor running, so it may just be antenna mast. Do you think I should just replace whole assy? Btw if you need any help with tranny when u get it back, just call me. Glad to help.
