Instead of dealing with dry rotted hoses and proprietary fittings I have decided it might be better to use Silicone tubing. Does anyone know what the common size the vacuum hosing is under the plenum?

I guess you can make anything work, but I would suggest using the stock replacement vacuum hoses and connectors from Jerrys. When we did my plenum pull this past weekend, I had all new hoses ready to go. Even when told some of the old ones looked, we replaced anyway. And the check valve connection was very loose. And then there was the split in the PCV hose. Yes it was an expense to replace the hoses, but well worth it for me. My vacuum is 100% tight, pump is plugged in and comes on for 2 sec when starting and shuts off. And I have my secondaries.......JMO

Silicone hoses are far better. Under plenum vacuum hoses, I think, can be replaced with 1/8" silicone hose. I would just replace the tips.

A guess: 4mm is a pretty popular size. Lots of it available on eBay.

I actually like the hard plastic tubes to couple longer sections of line, rather than having a long rubber line. GM used a lot of it in the 90's so I have a small collection of it. As far as rubber hose, I would recommend getting European style metric hose with the braided cover.
