So I have a chance to get a set of KDW tire for my car for a great price. I am checking on tire code/Mfg date
Anyway, they would be replacing Michelin Pilot sports. before I buy them I wanted to get an idea of how good the tires are.. THANKS

Michelins are the best,IMHO. The KDW's are probably on par with a Nitto.
I have heard numerous people complain about excessive road noise with the KDW's. |

While they may exhibit a bit more road noise than other brands, i've had good luck with several set on the c5 Z06 cars.
Once there hot they stick pretty nicely. If its a good deal get them, they haven't been manufactured in atleast three years. |

My first ZR had KDWs on it when I bought it. In the typical rain storm you get in May in Kentucky, these tires were downright scary. I couldn't go slow enough to feel safe. This was in 2007. Can't imagine these would be even close to the Pilot Sports. |

KDW's are great tires and reasonably priced
You do get a bit of road noise and they are more of a summer tire. Might not be that great in the rain I've had great success with Michelin PS2's but they are pricey ![]() David |
