What ideas do y'all have for additional group purchases? Let's put some thought into this thread and save some $$$!
Things like... 1.) Samco Air Duct - I know we can do this for ~$130 (new list price is $175) 2.) Spark Plug Wires - you tell me the brand and so on 3.) 160 deg Thermostat - I think $125 is WAY TOO much for a thermostat 4.) Short Shifter - Hurst 5.) C5 Brakes (or other brakes) 6.) Accel injectors - the new ones that work for us - with the correct O-rings (less than 1/2 the price of the best injectors (RC))...but still MUCH better than our stock injectors. 7.) Your idea here... |

How about 4.10 Dana Super 44 gear sets??? (or other ratios) along with the speedo correction gears.
C4 Beam Plates? Coil Overs? (I know...pricey mod) |

I think this will be in the $400-500 range...but the benefits are significant. The stock radiator is dismal and made quite cheaply...too cheap for an LT5 for sure. I will look into the Ron Davis Group Buy. I have the e-mail address for Doug Schulz (General Manager for Ron Davis Radiators)...and will inquire about a Group Purchase price for us. Uly |

Uly,
I'm down for the coils as long as we can find a place or someone to put them on? I also need those plug wires...how about MSD and why not a new thermostat and injectors....and the list goes on ![]()

Good ideas Uly, thanks for driving this....beam plates seem like a good one, inexpensive and a must for most Z owners I think. Plug wires also sound good, I think the MSD wires are fairly popular.
Hell, I'm interested in about all of 'em...but since wife and I are in the process of international adoption right now, all spare pennies are going to that right now so I may have to wait a while ![]() |
