Has anyone modified the GM Heater Hose connections on the thermostat housing?
I get a temporary leak on those hose connections once in a while and just wiggle them a bit (push up and down on the hose) and leaks disappear. Does anyone have a drawing of the design of those heater hose connections? They seem to slip a bit if you pull or push on them (a slip fit with some kind of seal of sorts).

The originals are made from cast "pot metal" and do corrode and often break off in the T-stat housing. The Dutchman can be removed & the threads chased (1/2" MNPT) and a new nipple installed.
This is the only photo I have handy. The ones we stock are cad plated steel. ![]()

I thought I heard that someone was casting new thermostat housings but am not sure if that included new design heater hose connections. Jerry.......let us know when you get those new PCV rubber connectors in stock (the connector that sits on top of both PCVs). I need a couple. Just post up here as you like ![]() Got the 91' ZR1 up and running again......smooth idle and revs like a ....like a .....well you know how a well tuned LT5 revs ![]()

Another question....where does this fit in the engine compartment or on the LT5?

That is it.....it appears that a stud screws in at that location with the nut holding the dual clamp and the TB coolant return on top of the dual clamp.....I had the TB coolant return bolted (not a stud) down there but the fuel lines go under the TB coolant return line. I eliminated TB coolant so just capped that off but now I think I will just shorten that line some more and not bolt it on top of fuel lines
![]() I was thinking TB cables or any pair of cables/lines also but got confused as I had to replace the evaporator in that location ![]() This is someone elses engine with clamp correctly in place ![]() ![]() In the photo above...... I do not see the EVAP Purge vacuum line Exiting the Plenum on passenger side between the last two pair of runners? I do see the Cruize Control Vacuum line Entering the Plenum on passenger side between the two middle pair of runners. Cruize Control Vacuum System ...................................EVAP Purge Vacuum System with Solenoid ![]() ![]()
