Default Repair Manual Recommendations for '90 ZR1

Hello,

I am looking for your recommendations on what manuals are available and where I can currently find them. Is the Haynes worth having, especially since it says right on it that the ZR1 is not covered? Mid-America is offering two volumes, I am not sure if this set has everything needed; I have not contacted them since these are shown to be unavailable at this time.

Thanks in advance.

I bought the factory service manual and the 2 supplements for @ $80 (2-used and 1-new) on ebay. And I used them alot already and I just bought my car in May. You can also get a new complete set for @$125 (can't remember exact price). I would go w/ the FSM over anything else, but that's JMO. I could dig up the links if you're interested.

Definitely Factory Service Manual set (try Corvette America?) Regardless of how you get them or what you pay, they are an essential first step and invaluable for the future. For Confirmation you wouldnt study the word of God using Reader's Digest (Hayne's) would you?

NEGATIVE WRT the Haynes Manual.

Buy the Red-Bound FSM for the 1990 Model Year and 1990-1993 RPO LT5 Service Manual Supplement - You'll find them readilly available on ebay.

The two factory service manuals or FSMs is what you really need the red books

Not using it because you have two - or not using it because it's not very useful?

I totally understand why you bought the FSM - and totally understand why you never used the Haynes.

Post that you're looking for a FSM set here in the forum under the Wanted/Forsale section.
Alternatively yes, fleabay.
A used set should be cheaper and has the same info.
They'll get dirtied up anyway so who cares that they're used.
