Decided to refinish the entire upper portion of the engine myself..(media blast, light sanding and painting with a ceramic based Hi-temp Paint)..as of this writing i have finished the coolant pipes and injector housings...

This engine...the whole car for that matter is a Faaar cry from what it was!
![]() ![]() I still want to do the plenum this dark red and the cam covers white to follow the scheme of the paint! Heres a shot of the brake(all brakes look and looked like this:before and after), I put speed bleeders on all ports as well!.. ![]() after:.. ![]() |

Very nice! Will match nicely with the red stripe on your car. You are doing the cam covers too, right?
Yes, those bolts always get rusted in the bolt holes and makes the coolant tubes a MPITA to get off. Mine were similar. Hopefully you didn't damage the gasket surfaces with the hacksaw. |

I did toach it a couple of times,..but..nothing serious...but get this....the whole right side of the engine was covered in oil/grease buildup and I couldnt figure out where it came from

yeah...I put a tube of JB weld on a $15,000 engine...NO!...where the coolant pipe meets the square block on the coolant housing had a hair-line crack, all the way through. ..so I grinded a groove the length of the crack and filled with jb weld..and sanded.

Oh yeah, every bolt was corroded to the point the heads broke off and I had to drill every one of them out!!
