Big party this coming weekend in Fort Myers! George Romero filmed "Day of the Dead" here in 1985 and they have a big party every year. Much better than Halloween. Over 10,000 people estimated last year and they're attempting to break the Guinness world record for a "zombie walk" this year.
For the record, the movie is awful! No, I won't be driving the Z downtown and there *will* be a designated driver  http://www.zombicon.com/

I'll be there. I was originally from PA where he filmed Night of the Living Dead - a much better story.

We're having a little pre-party with friends to watch the movie....well, at least the first 15 minutes which features downtown. After that the movie goes downhill really fast.
I'll have to check out the other flicks!

My favorite of these zombie movies is The Return of the Living Dead from 1985, with Clu Gulager and James Karen. It has so many funny scenes, and a porn star who likes to take her clothes off.
