Air cleaner resonator ? - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

OK, I need some more parts identification help in working my way through the NCRS judging manual. Any 95 ZR1 owners have the riveted resonator cover over the air cleaner as per the picture. If you read the description under the pic, sounds like it was on 94 ZR1s, and all Corvettes starting in 95.

I dont have one, and my car is fairly stock.

My 95 LT1 has one but my 96 LT4 does not. Does not look like that pic?

I have a 94 Z with 11K miles and bone stock minus the corsa's. I just went out and looked and mine does have a metal piece above the air cleaner lid but it doesn't really look like your pic. Mine is flat with a small lip at the rear towards the engine. I've actually never really noticed it in the 6 months I've had her. If you need me to snap a pic let me know.

The resonator that you've got the image of I thought only had "export" applications and wouldn't have been found on domestic cars with the exception being a '92 - '93 LT1 car. It seems that the resonator had applications for those years.

I would have expected this:

but was later serviced with this:

and that's what I believe is on the others that mentioned there was something there.

That image with the deflector isn't considered a resonator. Use the link in my same post and the resonator he's got in his manual is displayed in the bottom left and noted "export".
