Me and the Z had our first parade appearance today.
As I was getting on the highway enroute to the parade, a new Camaro wanted to play. I smoked him and had a great time doing it! I hit somewhere around 136mph and had a 4 car and growing lead on him when he shut it down. Vintage Zr-1!! I then drove the homecoming king and queen (i had the top off and they sat on the cross section of the roof) on a 1.25 mile parade route at a whopping 3 miles an hour--I hit 6 miles per hour once! I almost overheated once, but due to the cool New England morning I made it through. To top it off, I needed to move a 36 inch tube tv today and it wouldn't fit in my volvo. It DID fit in the Z though!!! Race car, tame parade car and moving van--all in a three hour time frame---should be a commercial. |

That's what I call a great ZR-1 Day. Thank you for sharing your story.
