THey will make a Camaro "like" vehicle. 5.3 v8? They shouldn't even bother. Still don't understand why they closed the Van Nuys plant out here. GM blew it out of greed with selling SUV's and trucks. Now with gas prices the way they are they can't give them away. All they have going for them is the Caddy and the vette.
Fwiw, the original concept drawing looked better. THe "smoothed" redo in the link makes the front grille look like a Maverick. BUT, it's Camaro "like" ![]() |

It does look like the Mustang some, but it will never make it to production looking like that. I had a 94Z28 at one time. Lots of fun. It would be nice for them to bring some version of it back now that Mustang has the muscle car market.

I think they should loose the C2 hood! Go back & work in the 69 Z28 hood and do something about the front and the side curves and...oh heck just do a re-introduction of the 69 Z28 body on a modern chassis and I bet they sell. I'm sorry I even like the last body style that they axed. The curves are too much for me. I'm from the Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins era, now those were camaros!

I have to admit as much as I'm not thrilled with GM's platform and their initial idea, if the car was done right I'd buy one, I've had too many Camaros over the years and still have a soft spot for them.

I like the 69 Camaro remake idea. An exact replica with todays engine and an old turbo 400. 3.73 gears. I`m dreaming but i`d hock the family jewels for one.
