Smile It's here!!

My new ZR-1 was just delivered!!!!!

Still in shock that it's finally here.

Damn shippers nearly sent me crazy. I phoned for an update just after lunch and they said 'It won't be until next week we have anything going up by you'. Bit of a pain, but okay.

At 4.30 as I'm driving home the cell rings "hi, I'm the guy delivering your corvette, I'll be getting there around 8pm"

Talk about nuts!

Had to drive it back from the drop off point, which was covered in snow (they don't grip too well on ice I found). At -7C, I was terrified I'd hit some ice. Thank goodness I have her safe under my protection finally!

Oh and sad to say, she'd absolutely filthy from the journey but not much I can do about that right now.

All said though. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Thanks guys!

You're right there Bob - the highways were fine but anything else was crazy slippy.

Also need to get used to using a stick shift on the 'wrong' side too!

Damn I'm grinning though... and that's just from sitting in her for 2 hours listening.

Glad your baby got home all safe & sound....oh yea, the driver too

I empatize about the desire to clean her up....mine was a Dec. delivery thru a snow storm & she had a patina of salt dust on her by the time the transporter got to me. One nice thing is ya have time to plan out & collect all ya need to make her ready for the driving season. When the weather breaks good you'll be a turn key operation!

Congrats & enjoy!

Tom

Just started her up again this morning and a warning light is showing : 'selective ride needs servicing'?

Could that just be a glitch from being tied down on the transporter? The light wasn't showing when I test drove it a few weeks back.

ghosts in the machine..sometimes.
when i first acquired my zr1
service lights..would come on then off,
when it thaws out...up yonder,,drive the car around 50 mile or abouts
open the secondaries (like you could stop yourself)
after showing a little love, some lights will stop
if they persist...then you can address them,
cars w/low miles or at least mine, have these issue's..
i later replaced..all by myself the map hose,
most fixes..you can find the info, right around here,
where to get parts..and who and why ..
enjoy
