freind of mine in UK has a race gutted 1968 plymouth road runner .....
but with what looks like a superbird wing on it was this ever an option before the 1970 superbird sorry can post a pic this min but l will later David |

Are you sure it's a '68? If it's been gutted and stripped for racing, it could be difficult to tell for sure.
There's not a lot of difference between a '68 and a '69, and the Superbird was first produced in '69. TomC "Crabs" |

Dodge Charger Daytona was 1969, the Plymouth Superbird was 1970. A lot less Daytonas were built than Superbirds. If it's a '68, it didn't come with the wing.
Edit: Also, there's a noticeable difference between the Daytona and Superbird wings. The Daytona wing was more upright, and the Superbird wing was angled back a bit more. Here's a pic of my Z with my brother's 'bird: |
