Looking to re-gear and will need new clutch set (I believe it's called Trac Loc) also. Where does everyone source them? Is there a vendor on here that supports the registry that sells them?
Is there a DIY thread on this? |

I recently installed mopar 4:10s for a viper and replaced all the bearing. Ebay had the best price on the gears that I could find (from a dodge dealer in Texas). I've done gears before but found the corvette 44 fairly challenging to set up. I called every shop I could find in the St Louis area and not a single one would touch a corvette dana. I ended up getting a lot of help from a facebook group that specializes in gears.

Most likely looking for a 4.10 but would entertain something in the 3.90 arena as well.
Care to share which facebook group? I assumed there was a good reason most Corvette rears are done at a few reputable shops. I at least have to change the trac loc clutches as they are howling bad and no amount of fluid change/additive has been helpful. |
